About
Griffin Idelman

Griffin comes to the Seattle Sports Commission after spending time working in both higher education and the marketing world. As the Marketing and Communications Manager, he helps promote Seattle as a home to a fiercely loyal and enthusiastic sports fanbase known for creating electric atmospheres. Griffin also works with external partners to ensure that the greater Seattle region is aware of who the commission is and what they do. He’s passionate about the sports community in Seattle and believes in the power of sports to impact a community. A self-proclaimed ‘sports nut’, Griffin has the experience to back it up. After a successful dual-sport athletic career at his Alma Mater Carroll University (Wisconsin, not Montana), he dove into the world of sports broadcasting as the Voice of the Pios and interned with 1250 AM The Fan in Milwaukee. A Chicago-suburbs native, Griffin’s favorite sports memories include seeing the Cubbies break the curse in 2016 and watching the Blackhawks dynasty in the early 2010s.
